Digital Desk: Three more people succumbed to Japanese encephalitis in Assam on Saturday, taking the state's total death toll from the virus to 63 since July 1.
The Nagaon district has been the source of all three deaths.
After 12 new instances were recorded in the past 24 hours, the state's overall number of JE cases has increased to 347. Dibrugarh and Kamrup Metro each have two new cases, and Cachar, Chirang, Goalpara, Hojai, Karbi Anglong, Nagaon, Tinsukia, and Udalguri each have one.
