Digital Desk: On Tuesday night, the state excise department seized up to 31 cartons of illegal Korean Liquor from a downtown restaurant in a big operation.
According to allegations, for the past few months, the restaurant Kori's on Zoo Road Tiniali has been illegally selling Korean liquors.
The raid was led under the supervision of Excise Superintendent Manvi Das.
Excise Superintendent Manvi Das stated to the media, "According to our sources, the aforementioned establishment was illegally supplying foreign liquors. We raided the eatery today based on the tip and recovered around 31 containers of illegal Korean liquor. The restaurant manager has been arrested and questioned. The eatery was providing alcoholic beverages without a proper bar licence."
Also, based on the excise officer, it has come to light that the Market Retail Price (MRP) of Korean liquor is approximately Rs 300 per bottle.
Moreover, it has been established that the restaurant was busted by the Excise Department for selling Korean spirits without a proper bar licence.
Notably, the Guwahati restaurant Kori's specialised in Korean food and the delicacies there are utterly praised by the Guwahatians.
