Ranveer Singh accepted the award alongside his wife Deepika Padukone on stage.

Digital Desk: At the 67th Filmfare Awards in Mumbai, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh received Best Actor in a Lead Role (Male) for his cricket drama '83,' while Kriti Sanon won Best Actress in a Lead Role (Female) for 'Mimi.'

On Tuesday night, Ranveer Singh accepted the "black woman" award alongside his wife Deepika Padukone.

Prior to Filmfare, Ranveer Singh received the Best Actor award at The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2022 for his role in '83.'

'83,' directed by Kabir Khan, is based on India's historic 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev, the captain of the World Cup-winning squad.

Kriti Sanon was recognised for her performance in 'Mimi,' which was released in 2021.

Kriti had already received the first best actress award of her career in May 2022, and that, too, at the 22nd International Indian Film Academy Awards in Abu Dhabi.

At the 67th Filmfare Awards, stars including Vicky Kaushal, Asees Kaur, B Praak, Vidya Balan, Vishnuvardhan, and Pankaj Tripathi also took home awards in various categories.
