In an interview with Etimes, Mandakini said, "I don't support this boycott culture. A film requires a lot of labour from artists and technicians.

Digital Desk: The actor Mandakini has been open about the changing realities of the entertainment industry. He is making a comeback after more than 20 years. The actor, who is making a comeback in a music video in which her son also has a role, has voiced her opinion regarding the ongoing discussions about nepotism and the alleged boycott culture in Bollywood.

Mandakini's first film role was in Mera Saathi, which was released in 1985. Ram Teri Ganga Maili, her second film, starring Raj Kapoor, was the one that brought her fame. Her co-star in the film was Rajiv Kapoor, the son of Raj Kapoor. In a recent interview, the actor talked about the boycott of Bollywood movies.

In an interview with Etimes, Mandakini said, "I don't support this boycott culture. A film requires a lot of labour from artists and technicians. The general populace should watch movies in theatres. An artist never stops being an artist. He always acts in the interests of the general public.

The actor went on to say, "I think that is quite a normal phenomenon, with regard to the claims of nepotism. As children get older, the environment in which an actor works has an impact on them. It is typical for kids to try to mimic their parents' behaviour. Parents bring their children with them to social events and to the set. They converse with other performers, producers, and directors there. So it is acceptable to be influenced and to imitate your parents.

After landing her breakthrough part, Mandakini continued to act in films for a while before taking a break in the early 1990s after getting married. Her most recent film was Zordaar, which came out in 1996. On Monday, she made her recording debut with Maa O Maa. Rabbil Thakur makes his musical debut with it as well.
