Digital Desk: In response to the growing concerns over an online investment scam linked to fraudster Bishal Phukan, a seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to delve into the case. Heading the SIT is Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sanjukta Parashar of CID Assam, renowned for her expertise in managing difficult investigations.
The SIT's primary focus is on Dibrugarh-based social media influencer Sumi Borah, who is accused of promoting the fraudulent investment scheme. The team comprises Dibrugarh Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sizal Agarwal, alongside three CID inspectors and two police superintendents.
