Digital Desk: In a significant development, Sanjukta Parashar, the Inspector General (IG) of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Assam takes the investigation of the Bishal-Sumi online trading scam in hand.
According to a Twitter post by the Director General of Police Assam GP Singh, the case of the recent online trading case has been transferred to the Crime Investigation Department, Assam.
Singh tweeted, "Dibrugarh PS Case No.352/2024 dtd.02/09/2024, U/S 316(2)/318(4) of BNS 2023, R/W Section 21/23 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Scheme Act, 2019 (Bishal Phukan Case) has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati for expeditious and thorough investigation. CID would form a SIT for investigation of this case."
Sanjukta Parashar is the 2006 batch IPS officer who hails from Assam and Meghalaya cadre is also known as the Iron Lady of Assam.
