Digital Desk: The Pakistan cricket team, led by Babar Azam, arrived in India on Wednesday, marking their first visit to the country in seven years. The last time these two teams met on Indian land was in 2016 at the T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, this trip will be a hard test for the mostly new Pakistani team, many of whom have never played in India before.
Pakistan's route to India included a stop in Dubai before arriving in Hyderabad. They are slated to play their first two ODI World Cup matches here, against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
The most anticipated match for Pakistan is due to take place on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where they will face arch-rival India.
Pakistan's World Cup voyage will be distinct in that it will involve less travel than other teams. Their games will be held in five cities: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. In comparison, the Indian squad will travel to nine different locations for their nine group-stage matches.
Pakistan enters the World Cup as the second-ranked ODI team globally, despite the visa challenges. Fans, however, were disappointed with their most recent performance in the Asia Cup 2023 because they were ousted in the Super 4 round, falling short of expectations.
