Digital Desk: A nine-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Tamil Nadu's Thiruvallur on Monday after her father asked her to study. Krishnamurthy, the girl's father, discovered her hanging inside their home.
How Did It Take Place?
Krishnamurthy observed his daughter playing near his in-law's house on Monday and told her to go home and study. He had given the girl the house keys.
He then left to refuel his bike and returned home at 8:15 p.m. When he discovered that the house was locked from the inside, he requested his daughter to open it.
When his daughter did not react, Krishnamurthy became alarmed and broke a window to enter the residence. Inside, he observed his daughter fighting to breathe while wearing a cotton towel around her neck.
She was carried unconscious to the hospital and died there.
An investigation has been launched by the police.
Her neighbours dubbed her the 'Insta Queen' since she frequently uploaded videos to social media.
