The earthquake only lasted a few seconds and happened at about 2.58 p.m...

Digital Desk: On Sunday afternoon, an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale rocked Assam and Meghalaya.  

No injuries or damage have been reported until now. Reportedly, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Mairang in Meghalaya.


The earthquake only lasted a few seconds and happened at about 2.58 p.m., according to seismologists.

Tremors were also reported in parts of adjoining Bangladesh, particularly in Sylhet.
