One of the most hit areas by the earthquake was Marrakech's old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Digital Desk:  Cristiano Ronaldo’s Morocco hotel has been turned into a shelter for those affected by Friday’s 6.8 magnitude earthquake. In accordance with the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake had a Richter scale magnitude of 6.8. More than 800 people lost their lives in the terrible disaster, while another 650 were injured.

Following the terrible incident, people sought safety in every place they could find, including Ronaldo's hotel. Pestana CR7 Marrakech has an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, a restaurant, and a patio. It is rated four stars, a level below luxury.

But as the nation's citizens gather together to look for ways to rebuild, the hotel has given up its high-end appeal for the sake of the Moroccan people as a whole.

One of the most hit areas by the earthquake was Marrakech's old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. According to news agency Reuters, buildings and city walls have collapsed, and the small lanes make it difficult to find and get injured people to safety.

Aichraf Hakimi of Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain, together with members of his national squad, are giving blood to those in need as a gesture of support for those impacted by the catastrophic earthquake.
