An expensive punishment was recently imposed on a tourist for bringing food onto a flight from Bali to Australia; the traveller's basic breakfast of a burger and a wrap at McDonald's cost him Rs 2 lakh.

The person who misled and provided false information was fined $2,664, or Rs. 2 lakh, on behalf of the airport authorities. Australian Agriculture Minister Murray Watt referred to it as the most costly McDonald's meal in response to this occurrence. Additionally, he added that travellers should be informed of the restrictions and that he has no sympathy for those who break them
