Digital Desk: On Wednesday, the family members of deceased fast food vendor Raj Kumar Mahato and activists from the All Assam Hindu Yuba Parishad (AAHYP) staged a protest funeral at Thana Chariali Tinsukia, demanding harsh punishment for the accused, Sugriv Mahato. Reportedly, on January 31, fast-food vendors Raj Kumar Mahato and Sugriv Mahato had a dispute over parking their carts in the bustling Devipukuri Pachali, following which Sugriv allegedly stabbed Raj Kumar, causing severe injuries. Soon after the incident, Sugriv was arrested by police, while Raj Kumar was taken to a private hospital in Dibrugarh, where he died on Tuesday from his injuries.
