They have a daughter, Ayra, who was born through surrogacy. Aamir and Sanjeeda's love story was no less than a fairytale, yet their disagreements and difficulties did not save their marriage. Both of them have always kept a stoic silence regarding their split and abstained from publicly commenting on one other. Aamir recently broke his silence and discussed his divorce with Sanjeeda as well as the difficulties of being away from his daughter.
Speaking with a news agency, Aamir said, "At that time, it was very challenging. My marriage broke down, and main hil chuka tha (I was shaken). However, I'm a sportsman at heart, so I never give up. I've always been a joyful person, and I'm delighted I'm back to being one."

Reportedly, Aamir has been barred from meeting his daughter for the past ten months. When asked how he felt about it, Aamir replied, "I don't want to discuss it since it is sensitive. I don't want to play any cards, but sadly, men are almost always held responsible. I've always kept a respectful silence when it comes to anything pertaining to my personal life. Someone that I have known for such a long time deserves respect. I thus won't say anything."
After being in a relationship for several years, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali married in 2012. They even participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 3 and were crowned the winners. The legal separation was requested by the couple in the second part of 2020. A year later, in 2021, they were granted a divorce, and Sanjeeda Shaikh was handed custody of their child.
