The suspension comes days after Raghav Chadha, an AAP Rajya Sabha member, was accused of appointing colleagues without their permission...

Digital Desk: AAP MP Raghav Chadha who was accused of 'forging' the signatures of five Rajya Sabha members, was expelled from the Upper House of Parliament on Friday. Until the committee of privileges completes its inquiry and submits its report, this suspension will be in place.

The suspension comes days after Raghav Chadha, an AAP Rajya Sabha member, was accused of appointing colleagues without their permission to a proposed select committee to examine the Delhi Bill.

Parliamentary privilege is violated when members of parliament's names are mentioned without their permission.

Without their permission, Raghav Chadha submitted a motion to the Rajya Sabha today that included the names of five MPs: Thambi Durai, Sudhanshu Trivedi, Sasmit Patra, Phangnon Komyak, and Narhari Amin. Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, responded angrily and that the deputy speaker takes the proper legal steps against this crime of perjury.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Shah noted that two members, BJD MP Sasmit Patra and BJP MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, said they did not sign the motion proposed by Raghav Chadha. He also suggested that a probe be launched to determine who forged their signatures.

The four MPs alleged that without their permission, their names were included in the proposal to refer the Delhi NCR Amendment Bill to the Select Committee. According to reports, the deputy chairman of the Rajya Sabha promised that an investigation would be made into this.
