Digital Desk: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued an order to Tridib Rai (ACS) about the case as part of the ongoing investigation into the cash-for-job fraud by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), sources said on Sunday.

Tridip Rai is reportedly scheduled to appear before the SIT on November 28.

According to sources, the SIT received unique information regarding Rai related to the fraud. The inquiry report of Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sharma Commission also mentioned him.

In relation to the 2014 APSC scandal, 34 civil personnel were taken into custody on November 22. The SIT, which was established to look into the scandal, picked up the officials from various places and brought them to Guwahati.

The chief judicial magistrate's court also remanded two arrested civil servants to five days of police prison that same day. Shahjahan Sarkar and Aishwarya Jeevan Baruah are the two officers who have been arrested.

Notably, the names of the 34 civil servants who have been arrested were implicated in the inquiry report of Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sharma Commission.
