Paltan Bazar Police officials reached the site and sent the woman for medical examinations.
Digital Desk: Tension once again ran high at the Cotton College campus after some students of the boys hostel allegedly physically attacked a woman, reports said on Monday.
Initial reports state that on Sunday night, a woman was attacked by a few boys from the MNDP Hostel. According to sources, the boys were under the influence of alcohol during the act.
The first attacked a man on the road. Witnessing the clash, when the woman went to stop them and end the brawl, the boys resorted to attack her too.
Meanwhile, The Panbazar police arrived at the scene as soon as they were notified of the the incident and sent the woman for medical examinations.
Additionally, according to reports, the accused students locked the woman inside the hostel after the incident.
The reason for the fight is yet to be known.
It is to be noted that this is not the first time, there have been many complaints against the students of the hostel in the past also.
