Satish Kaushik was an actor, director, producer, comedian, and screenwriter from India. He began his career in theatre after graduating from the National School of Theatre and the Cinema and Television Institute of India.

Digital Desk: Satish Kaushik, an actor and filmmaker, died on Wednesday at the age of 66. Anupam Kher, a friend and colleague, confirmed his death to indianexpress.com. Satish Kaushik died in the NCR after suffering a heart attack. His body is being held at the Fortis hospital in Gurgaon and will be sent to Mumbai following a postmortem.

Kaushik was visiting someone in Gurugram when his condition deteriorated and he died in a car accident. "I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" Kher wrote in his homage. But I never imagined I'd be writing this about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”
