Digital Desk: Karanvir Bohra, a television actor, was arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly defrauding a 40-year-old woman of Rs 1.99 crore. A case has been registered against the actor and the other five people in the Oshiwara police station.
According to reports, Karanvir promised the lady to return the sum with 2.5 percent interest, but when she asked for the amount, Bohra and his wife, Tajinder Sidhu, aka Teejay Sidhu, did not respond properly and further threatened to shoot her.
Notably, the ANI twitted, "Case registered against 6 people including actor Manoj Bohra alias Karanvir Bohra for allegedly cheating a 40-year-old woman of Rs 1.99 crores after promising to return it at 2.5% interest; woman claimed that only an amount of over Rs 1cr was returned: Oshiwara PS."
ANI, in one other tweet, said, "The woman also claimed that when she asked for the amount, Bohra & his wife Tajinder Sidhu did not respond properly & threatened to shoot her. Police have started an investigation & will soon record their statements: Oshiwara Police Station."
He has appeared on numerous reality shows, including Nach Baliye 4, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Khatron Ke Khiladi 5, Bigg Boss 12, and most recently, Kangana's Lock Up, where he stated that he was going through a financial crisis.
