However, till now, Sandhu didn't react to Singh's allegations...

Digital Desk: Upasana Singh "Bua" of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show filed a case against Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu in a local court on Thursday, accusing her of violating an agreement for the promotion of a Punjabi movie.

Singh filed a civil case in the district court of Chandigarh, seeking damages for an alleged breach of contract by Sandhu, who played the lead role in her 'Bai Ji Kuttange.'

"I offered Harnaaz a role in the film 'Bai ji Kuttange'. Not only that, but I also made ‘Yaara Diyan Poo Baran’ in which Harnaaz is the heroine as well," Upasana Singh told the reporters.

The Upasana stated that Sandhu, who was crowned Miss Universe 2021, had to make herself available in person and virtually for the film’s promotion under the agreement with her Santosh Entertainment Studio LLP.  But according to her, Sandhu has refused to provide dates for the film's promotion.

However, till now, Sandhu didn't react to Singh's allegations.

"When she wasn't Miss Universe, I gave her a chance. I spent a lot of money making this movie. It is not a low-budget film." Upasana said. Further, she stated that she was forced to push back the film's release date from May 27 to August 19.

Smeep Kang directed the film 'Bai Ji Kuttange,' which stars Dev Kharoud and Gurpreet Ghuggi.

At a pageant held in Israel in December of last year, Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe. Only two other Indians, actors Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000, have previously won the title.
