Parvin Dabas, an actor and MMA talk show expert, claimed on Twitter that Badakshi was "attempting to flee" India tonight and revealed that he has two passports—one Indian and one Afghan—as well as an Aadhar Card.

Digital Desk: Abdul Azim Badakshi, a star in Afghanistan's MMA field, was accused of leading a brutal attack on Indian MMA fighter Srikant Sekhar, and on Wednesday, he found himself in a new controversy.

Parvin Dabas, an actor and MMA talk show expert, claimed on Twitter that Badakshi was "attempting to flee" India tonight and revealed that he has two passports—one Indian and one Afghan—as well as an Aadhar Card.

Dabas also tweeted images of the purported Indian passport and Aadhar Card belonging to the Afghan combatant. The documents had Azim Sethi's name.

He wrote, "Afghan MMA fighter Abdul Azim Badakshi holding two passports, Afghani and Indian and having made an Aadhar card (god knows how) is attempting to flee tonight…not sure if FIR has been filed yet by @DelhiPolice am being told same is being done under bailable offences".

He further added, "Even though it was an attempt to murder Indian mma fighter @srikantsekhar1 by him and the mob…he is now attempting to flee the country…hope the powers that be do something to stop him @HMOIndia @MumbaiPolice @NIA_India @india @htTweets."

In his match with Sumeet Khade, Sekhar recorded a D'Arce choke submission in Round 1. He called out Afghan fighter Zahoor Shah, who had before defeated him and was also fighting Seth Rosario, after the victory. Badakshi was present to support Zahoor by being at the event. When Badakshi sucker-punched Sekhar after the fight, his supporters stormed the cage to atta the Indian fighter.

While talking to The MMA India Show, Sekhar updated his fans regarding his hospitalisation. "I should have been celebrating the victory outside instead of being here, but now I have like a broken jaw, a bleeding ear, and five plates in my jaw. I recently had surgery, and I'm still in an extremely emotional state. Because when I consider it...What is the point of it all? I truly didn't deserve this, therefore I don't understand "he said.
