Harmanpreet Kaur is currently in seventh place overall, and Mithali Raj is the only other Indian in the top 10.

Digital Desk: Harmanpreet Kaur broke Mithali Raj's record and surpassed her as the highest run-scorer among Indian women cricketers in the format of the game just weeks after her retirement.

Kaur, who is currently captaining India in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, accomplished the feat in the second match in Dambulla.

Kaur now leads the list with 2372 runs from 123 games, eight more than Mithali, who has 2364 runs from 89 games.

In fact, Kaur is the only Indian female cricketer to have scored a century in this format. In the 2018 T20 World Cup, she scored a century against New Zealand.

Smriti Mandhana is third on the list, with 2011 runs from 86 matches, and Jemimah Rodrigues is fourth, with 1094 runs from 52 games

Suzie Bates, a New Zealand all-rounder, currently leads the women's cricket rankings. In 126 matches, the 34-year-old has scored 3380 runs.

Overall, Kaur is ranked seventh, with Raj being the only other Indian in the top ten.
