According to reports, the image was taken on August 4, 1990, some 35 miles northwest of Perth, close to Calvine. The hikers' identities have remained a mystery ever since they reported seeing the flying item.

Digital Desk: The problem with UFO photos is that they are seldom in focus. Over the years, amateur photographers and enthusiasts have been let down by poor-quality images and films of strange flying objects.

Most of the time, the images or videos that circulate online are either too blurry or too dark for anyone to draw conclusions. Because of this, reports of UFO sightings cannot be entirely verified.

But just lately, the world's "clearest UFO photo" was made public, 30 years after it was purportedly taken in the Scottish Highlands by two hikers.

Originally given to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, the Calvine Photograph was later given to the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in the early 1990s. Since then, nobody has ever seen it in public.

According to reports, the image was taken on August 4, 1990, some 35 miles northwest of Perth, close to Calvine. The hikers' identities have remained a mystery ever since they reported seeing the flying item.

The image depicts a plane flying behind a large diamond-shaped object that is floating in the cloudy sky.

According to reports, the hikers observed the UFO as it hovered in the sky for around ten minutes before rising into the sky and vanishing. According to The Sun, it had a length of about 100 feet.

Who made the public aware of it?

After decades of research, academic journalist Dr. David Clarke discovered the image. The image was in the possession of Craig Lindsay, a retired RAF press officer.

The image is now a part of Sheffield Hallam University's archives thanks to Dr. Clarke.

He told a publication, "After 32 years and a thorough investigation, it feels amazing to be able to reveal this rare portrait to the world.

This year's discoveries of clear UFO images are not limited to this one.

The public was given access to a high-resolution image of what was dubbed "the greatest photograph of a UFO ever taken" in May.

According to sources, Sergio Loaiza, a mapmaker, took the picture fifty years ago while flying at 10,000 feet over Costa Rica's jungles using a 100-pound camera.

At a height of 3,000 meters, he took many black-and-white pictures of Lake Cote and the surrounding jungle while surveying the map.

He discovered a strange detail on the left side of a photograph after developing each one.

However, Sergio's developed shot of the object was not particularly clear. Only after the image was recently improved was the UFO discovered.
