Rocket-propelled grenades are shoulder-fired weapons that fire missiles and have an explosive warhead. Most RPGs can be carried by just one person, making them ideal for anti-tank weapons.
Shortly after the explosion, the police sealed off the surrounding area, and the Senior Superintendent was dispatched to the scene. The emergency has been declared.
According to the Mohali Police, an official statement stated that a minor explosion was detected at Sector 77, SAS Nagar, Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters. No damage has been reported. The bombing took place just one day after the Punjab Police stopped a terrorist attack in the Tarn Taran region of the province and detained two terrorists.
