According to reports, 43 of the 53 NCP MLAs reportedly supported the Maharashtra government.

Digital Desk: On Sunday, National Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar took the oath as the deputy chief minister of the Maharashtra government, which is led by Eknath Shinde.

Nine NCP leaders reportedly took oath as Maharashtra ministers after Ajit Pawar and other party officials joined the NDA government.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, and Devendra Fadnavis, his deputy, were present at the Raj Bhavan where the oath-taking ceremony took place.

43 of the 53 NCP MLAs reportedly supported the Maharashtra government, according to reports.

It should be noted that nine MLAs arrived at the Raj Bhawan earlier today to meet with Governor Ramesh Bais. The NCP leader Sharad Pawar's 'unilateral' decision to share the stage and form an alliance with Rahul Gandhi at the opposition unity meeting in Patna, Bihar, last month infuriated the MLAs.
