Andhra Pradesh: In a cruel incident, more than 300 stray dogs were poisoned to death and later buried in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, as per the report.

Reportedly, animal rights activist Challapalli Srilata claimed that Lingapalem village panchayat staff on July 24 killed almost 300 stray dogs of the village.

In connection to it, activist Challapalli Srilata lodged an FIR at Dharmajigudem police station on July 29.

Dharmajigudem police station, Officer in Charge, said, “Challapalli Srilata, in her complaint stated Lingapalem village panchayat staff on July 24 killed almost 300 stray dogs with poisonous injection and later buried the dogs nearby a village pond.”

A case has been registered under section 429 of IPC and Section 11(I) OF Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 added the police official.

It is a piece of developmental news; more investigations are awaited.
