Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the arrival of Heads of Missions to attend the mega-events.

Digital Desk: Assam is all set to host a mega Jhumur performance titled "Jhumair Binondini" at the Sarusajai Stadium on February 24 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar and others. The mega event is part of a larger celebration, which includes the Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit.

The mega event will be attended by 61 Heads of Missions of different countries, who have been on a tour to Assam from Sunday. The delegates will visit the Kaziranga National Park, witness the Jhumur performance, and attend the Advantage Assam summit.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the arrival of Heads of Missions to attend the mega-events.

CM Sarma said, "External Affairs minister S Jaishankar, along with heads of missions of 61 countries and families of about 22 of them, will reach Jorhat today. They will spend the night there and visit Kaziranga National Park on Monday morning, undertaking elephant and jeep safaris."

CM Sarma added, "The delegation will then leave for Guwahati to witness a mega Jhumur performance by over 8,500 artists on Monday evening and also participate in the two-day Advantage Assam summit."

The mega Jhumur event will feature around 9,000 artists from across Assam. The Assam government will provide financial support of 25,000 each to the artists.
