Digital Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit the violence-hit Manipur soon.

Amit Shah confirmed this while addressing an event at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra in Guwahati, Assam.

"I will go to Manipur for three days," Amit Shah stated.

Speaking at the ceremony, Amit Shah assured that justice will be done to all Manipur residents who had been victims of violence.

"No one associated with violence will be spared," stated Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday (May 25).

Amit Shah added that he will meet with all stakeholders during his visit to Manipur.

The union home minister further stated, "Violence of this kind broke out for the first time in Manipur in the past six years, since the BJP came to power in the state."

While attempting to distance the BJP governments at the centre and in Manipur, Amit Shah stated that the violence was caused by a court ruling.

"I urge all the people of Manipur to maintain peace," Amit Shah said.

"Every problem can be solved through dialogue," he added.

It should be noted that at least 15 pro-Biren Singh MLAs from Manipur were visiting Guwahati on Thursday to meet with Amit Shah.
