Another health worker dies hours after taking Covid vaccine

Telangana: Sensation prevailed in Telangana after the death of a 42 year old ambulance driver who got himself vaccinated on January 19. The ambulance driver identified as Vitthal was vaccinated at about 11:30 am on January 19 in Kuntala primary healthcare centre in Nirmal district of Telangana.

The deceased complained of chest pain on the night of January 19, hours after taking the covid vaccine and was brought dead to the district hospital early morning on January 20.

While the family blamed the death due to covid vaccine, district health officials deny the claims as preliminary findings suggest the death seems to be unrelated to the vaccination.

Meanwhile, Telangana health department has said that district AEFI committee is examining the matter and will submit its report to the state AEFI committee.
