Digital Desk: A Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) personnel (CAF) was killed on Saturday after he was attacked by Naxals while he was patrolling at a market in the Bijapur region of the state. The deceased personnel was identified as company commander Tijau Ram Bhuarya, who was leading the CAF team. 

According to the police, the Naxals used an axe to attack him. 

The attack occurred in a community within the jurisdiction of the Kutru police station at around 9:30 in the morning. The CAF unit was on patrolling and providing security in the village market. 

Tijau Ram Bhuarya was a member of the CAF's 4th Battalion.

Following the incident, police began searching the area in search of the attackers.

It is to be noted that last month, three CRPF jawans were killed, and 14 others were injured in an attack by Naxals in the state's Sukma area. The incident occurred near Tekalgudem village when a joint team of security personnel was out on a search operation.
