Preliminary reports suggest that the attack on the Assam Rifles was likely carried out by suspected NSCN cadres. 


Digital Desk: In the early hours of Tuesday, April 16, armed miscreants ambushed an Assam Rifles vehicle carrying a patrol squad in Tinsukia's Namdang on Changlang road in Margherita. 

There was still a lot of firing going on when the unidentified shooters started shooting at the Assam Rifles vehicle. 

Preliminary reports suggest that the attack on the Assam Rifles was likely carried out by suspected NSCN cadres. 

More information is awaited on the matter.
