Digital Desk: In an unfortunate incident, an army helicopter crashed in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday morning, an army official informed.

The incident occurred near Migging village in the Tuting district at around 10.40 in the morning.

Defence source said that besides the pilot, there was one more passenger in the chopper.

As per the official, "Teams have been sent to the crash site to start search and rescue operations. No further details on the number of passengers and their condition are available yet. "
The accident site was not accessible by road, so officials dispatched a rescue team.

A similar incident occurred earlier this month when an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh near the Chinese border, killing one of the two pilots on board, according to a defence spokesperson.
