The NEHRO criticised the APPSC and the state administration, claiming they were involved in corruption and harming the future of young people.

Digital Desk: The North East Human Rights Organization (NEHRO) has asked the CBI to look into the issue of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission's (APPSC) Assistant Engineer (Civil) exams' paper leak.

The NEHRO criticised the APPSC and the state administration, claiming they were involved in corruption and harming the future of young people.

The organisation claimed, "The latest leak of AE (Civil) reveals that corruption exists throughout government, from the highest levels to the lowest. Additionally, there is a strong possibility that higher-ups will exert influence over the commission in order to achieve their objectives.

They said, "We have no faith in the Government and the sealed APPSC office is a reflection of failed governance. We urge the immediate suspension of all Commission members, including the Chairman and Secretary, and the launch of a CBI inquiry to ensure an impartial investigation of the matter."

Notably, the APPSC said that it would hold new exams for the positions of assistant engineer (civil) and that a new exam date would be revealed soon.

It is to be noted that the exams that were held on August 26 and 27 to fill 33 assistant engineers (civil) positions were cancelled by the APPSC on Tuesday.
