Parshuram Kund, situated on the Brahmaputra plateau, is a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to sage Parshuram, which will soon be connected to the rest of the country via railways.

Digital Desk: Union Home minister Amit Shah stated that the Parshuram Kund in Arunachal Pradesh would be connected to the rest of the country via railways soon.

The minister announced the development during his two-day visit to the state.

A Hindu shrine, Parshuram, is dedicated to the sage Parshuram. It is located on the Brahmaputra plateau, the lower reaches of the Lohit river.

Amit Shah stated on Sunday, "We'll connect Parshuram Kund via the railway." He further added that the government built a network of roadways across the state that connects remote locations.

Notably, on Saturday, the minister also laid the foundation stone for a 51-foot statue of bronze of Lord Parashuram.

It is to be noted that Amit Shah, along with Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, paid a visit to the Namsai district's Golden Pagoda.

Moreover, taking a dig at the Congress, Amit Shah said, "Congress leaders ask what happened in eight years [of BJP's rule at the Centre]. Rahul baba must take off his Italian specs and look at the development work done by PM Narendra Modi and CM Pema Khandu."

He also claimed that 9,600 fanatics had put down their weapons and joined normal society over the last three years. The minister said, "By resolving all problems in the Northeast, our government hopes to bring peace to the region."

Amit Shah further stated, "The BJP government has decreased terrorist activity by 89 percent in the northeast."

It may be mentioned that the Union Minister inaugurated and laid a foundation stone worth over 1000 crores.
