Digital Desk: Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), defended Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday, amid allegations that he was kicked off a flight from Frankfurt to Delhi because he was "drunk."

Mr Kejriwal told reporters in Vadodara, Gujarat, that the opposition is slinging mud at Mr Mann and spreading lies because they can't find a flaw in his work.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, the chief of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), claimed on Monday that Mann was deplaned from a Lufthansa flight at Frankfurt Airport because he was inebriated.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, had earlier stated that he would investigate the allegations. "No government in Punjab had done in the previous 75 years what Mann Saheb had done in the last six months. Punjab finally has a 'kattar' honest and hardworking chief minister after 75 years "He stated.

He claimed that the opposition is slinging mud because it has failed to find flaws in Mann's work.

"All of this is a lie, all of it is nonsense. The opposition is attempting to obstruct Mann, but the public is watching. They are pleased with his work "According to Mr. Kejriwal.

When asked about the arrest of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that anyone who makes a mistake should be punished.

He specifically targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party for holding press conferences on the subject.

"I've never seen a more useless political party than the BJP. It has access to the CBI, ED, Income Tax, and the police. Regardless, they hold press conferences every day to accuse people. If we ever form a government at the Centre, we will imprison accused people rather than holding press conferences "He stated.

On September 16, Khan was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with a graft case.
