India has won a record 10th medal in archery, marking the nation's best-ever performance at the Asian Games...

Digital Desk: Ace Jyothi Surekha Vennam of India won the women's individual compound archery event by defeating Chaewon So of South Korea 149-145 on Saturday, bringing India its 23rd gold medal at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou.

India has won a record 10th medal in archery, marking the nation's best-ever performance at the Asian Games. India took home one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal at the 2014 Incheon edition.





Jyothi, who had already won gold in the mixed pair and women's team events, added a third consecutive victory when she came from behind to defeat So Chaewon of South Korea, who was a strong opponent, 149-145.
