Digital Desk: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) plans to contest in four seats in Assam in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which are scheduled to be held next year.

Reportedly, this was revealed by party MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita on Friday.

He added that they will attempt to secure at least one of the state's 14 constituencies.

In a conversation with the media, Kalita stated that he will be asking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to give the AGP preferable seats

Meanwhile, AGP worker meetings have already taken place in Kaliabor, Mangaldoi, Tezpur, and Nagaon. This shows the party's commitment to upcoming elections.

Sources claim that the AGP's decision to run for four seats might have a big impact on elections, especially in the districts where the party has a strong presence.

Furthermore, the AGP's decision to seek a seat following the Guwahati Executive Meeting is expected to shed further light on the party's election strategy.
