Digital Desk: Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh's wife, Kirandeep Kaur, arrived in Dibrugarh today (May 4) to visit her husband in the Dibrugarh Central Jail.
Moreover, Neeru Kalsi, wife of Daljit Singh Kalsi, and his son Simarjeet (Sunny) Kalsi also arrived at Dibrugarh Central Jail today.
All three members entered the Dibrugarh Central Jail to see their respective relatives.
Earlier on April 27, a 12-member group of imprisoned Khalistani activists, including two advocates, arrived at Dibrugarh's Central Jail.
Nine of the detained Khalistani supporters of Waris Punjab De, one each of their family members, are meeting them at the Dibrugarh Central Jail.
The SGPC-led team consists of two advocates, Bhagwant Singh Sialka, lawyer Simranjit Singh, and another member.
Following this, security at the Dibrugarh Central Jail was increased due to the arrival of family members of the detained Khalistani activist. Additional CPRF personnel were also stationed today outside the jail.
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka stated on April 27 that the group would challenge the board's decision at the High Court.
"We've arrived to meet those imprisoned and will leave for Punjab once the detainees' family members have met their respective kin. We will attempt to challenge the board's order before the High Court," he said.
