Digital Desk: The Assam Legislative Assembly elections are set to take place tomorrow, with election officials and staff working around the clock to finalise preparations.
Polling personnel have already begun departing for their respective destinations, carrying Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and other essential materials collected from the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati.
Voting is scheduled to commence at 7 AM.
In anticipation, the police administration has been placed on high alert to ensure law and order are maintained throughout the process.
For the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, EVM and VVPAT machines for the Kamrup Metro district have been commissioned and stored at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre.
This facility serves as a secure strong room for five assembly constituencies, Dispur, Dimoria, New Guwahati, Central Guwahati, and Jalukbari.
