The Assam Cabinet was expanded today at Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

Digital Desk: On Thursday, the Assam Cabinet's new ministers, Jayanta Malla Baruah and Nandita Garlosa were sworn in as ministers at 3:30 pm. Srimanta Sharakardev Kalakshetra hosted the swearing-in event. 

As per reports, In the presence of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and other cabinet members, both Ministers took their oaths.

Nandita Garlosa has been given the portfolios of the Public Health Engineering Department, Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, and Tourism Department.

While Jayanta Malla Baruah has been given the portfolios of the Public Health Engineering Department, Cooperation Department, Mines and Minerals Department, and Indigenous & Tribal Faith and Cultural Department.

Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi has administered the oath of office.

With the addition of two additional ministers, the cabinet now has a total of 16 members.
