It is to be noted that Drugs worth almost Rs 1 crore were confiscated by Assam police earlier today at Rupohihat in the Nagaon district.

Digital Desk: On Thursday, after the police chased the vehicle transporting the cannabis, a sizable amount of marijuana, weighing 70 kilograms, was found in Tamulpur, Assam.

Acting on information from unidentified sources, the police apprehended the drug peddlers carrying cannabis at Ghogha Bridge in Darkuchi on the Rangia-Bhutan road. The vehicle was an Alto.

After giving the car a long pursuit and eventually stopping it near Ghogra Bridge, the cops confiscated the cannabis.

It is unknown how much money the cannabis that was seized is worth.

The street vendors managed to flee away from police custody.

It is to be noted that Drugs worth almost Rs 1 crore were confiscated by Assam police earlier today at Rupohihat in the Nagaon district.

A few people grew suspicious of the visitor since he was making repeated visits to the area. The man quickly abandoned the bike after being approached and left the area. 

After looking over the bike, the locals found a backpack with 25 soap boxes that had been loaded with illegal heroin. Authorities were alerted right away, and they quickly arrived on the spot.
