 Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took a step forward by initiating numerous new infrastructure projects at GMCH.

 

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday unveiled numerous new infrastructural projects at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). 

 

A new 450-seat theatre, a principal's apartment, an attendants' guest house, a boys' dormitory, and nurses' quarters were among the new infrastructure amenities. 

 

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter and stated, "As part of our initiative to transform @gmchgauhati into a world-class healthcare centre, we are pleased to inaugurate new infrastructure, including a new auditorium, the principal's residence, attendants' guest house, boys' hostel, and nurses' quarters."


 

In his remarks to the audience, CM stated that the new infrastructure will enhance GMCH's existing services. "I want to congratulate the public sector unions that have come forward to support our approach," added CM.

 

The chief minister also announced the establishment of a new medical college in Guwahati to guarantee better resource use and patient convenience.
