Digital Desk: Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, inaugurated the Assam Bhawan in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday.
According to reports, the chief minister was supposed to officially inaugurate the Bhawan today at 1 p.m.
As per assumptions, the Bhawan cost Rs 23 crore to build and includes 40 double-bed rooms, two VIP and VVIP quarters, one seven-bed female dormitory, three five-bed male dormitories, three four-bedrooms and a 2BHK flat and office for the Joint Resident Commissioner.
Furthermore, the Assam Chief Minister would also offer his prayer at Kanchipuram's famed Maa Kamakshi Amman temple.
