Today is a special day for the health sector in the state," CM Sarma stated during the occasion.

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated six projects on Monday at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Auditorium with the goal of improving the state's health sector.

The following are the projects that the chief minister has launched:

 Ten Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Bed Project

·         National Emergency Life Support (NELS) Skill Centre at GMCH

·         Multi Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) at GMCH

·         32 Slice CT Scan Machine – CSR by Guwahati Refinery at GMCH

·         Oncology lab at State Cancer Institute at GMCH

·   Asset Management Portal for Medical Colleges under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME)

"Today is a special day for the health sector in the state," CM Sarma stated during the occasion. The ICU project, Guwahati Medical College Hospital's state-of-the-art laboratory, and multifunctional research project were officially dedicated to the public today as an essential step towards strengthening health services in the state."

"Under the Assam critical care project, ICUs have been established in every hospital in the state." The difficulties encountered when running the ICU were thus resolved. ICUs will now be operated as part of the Assam critical care initiative," he added.
