CM Sarma further said that they discussed various options to support the development of projects under PPP models in different sectors. 

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met the World Bank's Country Director, Auguste Tano Kouame, to discuss potential financial support from the organisation.

Taking to X, CM Sarma said, "Had a very good meeting with Dr. Auguste Tano Kouame, World Bank Country Director, India. We discussed establishing plug-and-play industrial park infrastructure in the state."

CM Sarma further said that they discussed various options to support the development of projects under PPP models in different sectors. The CM also discussed agriculture and allied sectors with Kouame.

Kouame had been visiting Guwahati to participate in the recently concluded Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit. During his speech at the investment summit, the World Bank India's Director expressed the organisation's positive outlook on India's economic development and encouraged investments in the country.

He added that the World Bank is expecting the best possible outcome regarding its involvement in the country.
