Tezpur: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Sonitpur today with several significant motives. First of all, Sarma has provided financial help for 69446 women in the region. These women were granted Rs. 25,000 each. 

Sarma, during his address, also stated that by March 2022, around 11 lakhs of women would be granted financial help. He further said that now in Assam, poor people's money cannot be misled by corrupted means.

During his speech, CM said that within 6 months, 24 lakhs women with get their loan refunded. He added, "Around one lakh appointments will be provided. The money of the Arunodoi Scheme will increase further."

Sarma further urged people to take the vaccines because the new variant of Covid-19 has raised concern once again.

Strengthing the medical facilities in Sonitpur, Assam CM Sarma also shared a post on his Twitter regarding medical initiatives. The tweet read, "Glad to inaugurate a 30-bed Pediatric ICU comprising 15 ICU beds & 15 step down beds, a 30-bed COVID ICU & Residential Faculty Quarters at Tezpur Medical College & Hospital, Bihaguri, Sonitpur. These facilities will significantly improve medical services rendered by TMCH."
