Digital Desk: An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale jolted Assam's Jorhat district on Saturday morning. Tremors were also felt in the neighbouring areas.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit Jorhat at 9:03 a.m. at a depth of 50 kilometers.

However, no casualties or property damage have been reported as of yet.

Last week, an earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale jolted Assam early on Wednesday. The tremors were felt in the Kamrup district at a depth of 10 kilometers at 3:59 a.m., according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). There have been no reports of property damage or loss of life as a result of the earthquake.
