Digital Desk: On March 18, Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu refuted many news reports alleging that the HSLC Geography paper had been leaked, claiming that the paper was from 2021 and had been modified by some miscreants.
"The matriculation geography question paper has not been released. "The question paper that went viral on WhatsApp is from the year 2021," as per several reports quoted Pegu as clarifying the incident.
The issue emerged after a modified version of the old question paper was leaked on a WhatsApp group.
According to the SEBA, prior to the March 20 geography exams, some miscreants attempted to confuse students by making viral an old question paper online.
"I appeal to the students not to get confused by such misleading news on social media unless SEBA delivers a clarification. It is already evident that this is not the new question paper, but the old question paper. A case will be filed against it," Ranoj Pegu stated.
