ULFA-I has been training its newly joined members in Myanmar since January 2022, reports said.  

Digital Desk: Around five Assam youths, including one from Guwahati, has joined the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I), reports said. Reportedly, to join the banned outfit, the youths crossed the Myanmar border and reached the ULFA-I camp for their training on March 22. Under the guidance of ULFA-I leader Aiseng Axom, the youths have been reportedly joined the banned outfit. The five youths has been identified as Dhanjit Das (Barpeta), Uddhav Das (Baksa), Niranjan Deka (Tamulpur ), Jugal Sarma (Narengi, Guwahati) and Ankur Das ( Jorhat). Notably, more than 220 youths, including officials from police and agriculture departments, have joined the ULFA-I from September to March 22. ULFA-I has been training its newly joined members in Myanmar since January 2022, reports said. Already the first batch has completed its training and now ULFA-I is preparing to train its second batch. On March 20, ULFA-I said in a statement that it would continue its recruiting process and no power could stop the youths from joining the banned outfit in the future. Notably, after two days of its statement, the five youths joined the ULFA-I, which shows an increase in the organizational enthusiasm of ULFA-I. PCA Banner 2022
