According to accounts, the former MLA passed away today about 6 am.

Digital Desk: Jonjonali Barua, a former Congress lawmaker from Assam's Morigaon, passed away on Tuesday at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

According to sources, Jonjonali Barua was receiving treatment at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi for a long-term, significant health condition. Later, Barua was transferred to the GMCH. According to accounts, the former MLA passed away today about 6 am.

It should be mentioned that Barua was chosen as a Congress MLA from the Morigaon constituency three times in a row. In addition to being chosen as an MLA, Jonjonali Barua previously served as the former president of the Morigaon District Congress, vice president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), and head of the Morigaon District Sports Association, among other positions.

After the passing of the former party MLA, the Morigaon district Congress unit sent their condolences. Bhupen Borah, the head of the APCC, also expressed sympathy for Jonjonali Barua's passing. He shared an emotional message on Twitter, saying that the party has been left with an irreplaceable void as a result of her passing.
