In the early hours of Monday, a terrible accident in the Jalukbari neighbourhood claimed the lives of seven AEC students while injuring another six.

Digital Desk: On Tuesday, a group of forensic specialists from Delhi travelled to the scene of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of seven Assam Engineering College (AEC) students in Guwahati's Jalukbari neighbourhood.

According to sources, the team is closely investigating and gathering evidence from the two vehicles that were involved in the collision, which claimed the lives of seven people and injured another six.

It should be noted that seven AEC students lost their lives in a sad car accident on Monday morning in the Jalukbari neighbourhood of Guwahati. Around one in the morning, a driver of a Scorpio sedan with the licence plate AS 01 GC 8829 lost control and drove over a divider before colliding with a Bolero DI pickup truck that was travelling in the opposite direction on the Jalukbari Flyover route.

Following the tragedy, the AEC officials formed a 10-member committee to investigate the factors that may have contributed to the big accident and gave them two days to present a thorough report.
